DESCRIPTION:This is a FREE event. A pass\, shoot and dribble contest will be held for boys and girls ages 7 – 12. All contestants will receive a free cinch sack and 150 basketballs will be given away\, courtesy of Centerville Hustle. Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 boys and girls in each age group with 36 trophies total being awarded. \n\n\n\nTimes are as follows:(times after the first group are approx)7 & 8 Year old BOYS and GIRLS 9:00am-10:15am9 & 10 Year old BOYS and GIRLS 10:15am-11:15am11 & 12 Year old BOYS and GIRLS 11:15am-Noon \n\n\n\nArrive a few minutes early for registration or preregister by going to the event page! This exciting program is designed to encourage and celebrate youth visual art skills in painting and drawing. The contest will be held at the Centerville Noon Optimist local level and at the International level. \n\n\n\nThe Theme for 2026 is: “Be Bold – Be The Change.” Students may submit either a painting or a drawing. The winner on each of two contest dates will receive a cash prize of $500. \n\n\n\nThe topic for 2026\, determined by Optimist International\, is “The Moment I Realized I Belonged—My Definition of Community.” \n\n\n\nAll Community Members and Centerville Noon Optimist Club members are invited to watch the Oratorical competition. \n\n\n\nThe winners from the Club contests advance to the Zone competition\, and then may advance to the District Regional competition and the Finals at the District level. DESCRIPTION:This contest provides an excellent opportunity for students to develop important public speaking skills.   \n\n\n\nThe topic for 2026\, determined by Optimist International\, is “The Moment I Realized I Belonged—My Definition of Community.” \n\n\n\nContestants prepare and deliver a speech between four and five minutes in length on the assigned topic at 6pm at Woodbourne Library. The winner on each contest date will receive a cash prize of $500 and will advance to the regional contest.
