Cincinnati contest to be held at West Chester Library March 22nd 5pm

Northeast Ohio contest to be held at Strongville BW3’s April 9th 12:30pm

Columbus and Centerville Dates and Locations TBD  (Late March/early April)

Local contest winners will advance to Ohio District competition May 6th or 7th where the Ohio District winner will receive a $3500 scholarship.

Please contact me if you know of any organizations or individuals who can help promote this event, or feel free to  forward this link to them.  Currently, only two other clubs in the entire state are holding contests so this is a great opportunity for a young student to win a sizable scholarship.   The C.C.D.H.H. is an annual contest held by the Ohio Optimists, along with our Essay and Oratorical Contests which are all announced in late August or early September.  We have been struggling getting Optimist clubs in Ohio to participate in the C.C.D.H.H. as there are difficulties in finding students that qualify and who are interested in participating.  We would like to get more people and organizations aware of this event so that more students throughout the state will take advantage of this great opportunity.

Looking for high school students with 40 decibel hearing loss to compete in 4-5 minute communication contest delivered by voice or ASL or some combination.  For more details and contest rules, visit:
