The success of the 2015 Americana Festival was boosted by the Centerville Noon Optimist booth. More than 600 helium balloons were attached to strollers, backpacks, children’s wrists and a few dogs in the first two hours. About 20 club members manned the booth all day and welcomed potential members with many different giveaway items. There was also much interest in the club’s Avenue of Flags and Tee Off for Youth programs. Great weather, great event and much fun was enjoyed by all.
Centerville Noon Optimists president Fred Polizzi and Kelly Stone, past president, talk about the club, whose motto is “Friend of Youth,’ and its many upcoming event events on this episode of “Centerville Reports Today.” For more information about the Optimists visit www.centervillenoonoptimist.com.

The NOC donation was paired with other monetary gifts and volunteer labor to create a pleasant and welcoming space for young people dealing with addictions.

The Noon Optimist Club of Centerville is a fellowship of people who get things done. We set examples and embrace an optimistic mindset for the community to see. We display leadership skills and working relationships locally, regionally and nationally. Whether you are searching for an outlet to give back and help your community or are looking for personal development, you will find what you are looking for in our club.
Each year we hold our Tri-Star Soccer competition activity. It is for boys and girls 13 years old and under. Participants will be tested on dribbling, shooting, passing, punting and juggling skills. Trophies are awarded to the winners in each age group, but the emphasis is more on fun than just competition.
Come and join us on a Saturday in September (2020 date and event details coming soon) for a fun family event of free soccer and fellowship with all the kids.
