Finding a cure to Childhood Cancer is a major effort funded by Optimist International. Centerville Noon Optimists provide annual funding to the Dayton Children’s Hospital Hematology/Oncology department with proceeds from our Annual Tee Off for Youth Golf Classic. We also host and fund an annual Build-a-Bear event for cancer stricken kids and their siblings. We provide caregiver breakfasts for Dayton Children’s Hospital Hematology/Oncology department as well.
The Centerville Noon Optimist Club has expanded our Childhood Health & Wellness Program beyond Childhood Cancer. We have initiated projects and services to improve the quality of life for children in their communities across a broader spectrum of needs.
Childhood Health & Wellness will include four focus areas:
- Healthy Lifestyles
- Chronic Diseases
- Mental Health
- Disabilities – Physical, Intellectual & Developmental
