Chuck Dickerson Memorial Scholarship
Information and Application
The Chuck Dickerson Memorial Scholarship was established in 2018 by the family of Chuck Dickerson. Chuck was an eternal optimist and entrepreneur who believed in service to his family and community. Chuck lived his life by the optimist creed; Remaining too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble. The scholarship is for children or grandchildren of current or past members of the Centerville Noon Optimist Club.
Applicants must:
- Be a graduating high school senior
- Be accepted to a two- or four-year college or university
- Demonstrate a commitment to community service
- Be the child or grandchild of a current or past member of the Centerville Noon Optimist Club
Award: $1,000

- Please list the name of your parent or grandparent who is or was a member of the Centerville Noon Optimist Club. Please also list the year(s) of membership.
- Please submit a one to two page essay about the importance of community service and how it has impacted your life. Include how your actions embody the Optimist Creed.
