Visual Arts Competition

Thank you for your interest in the 2022 Visual Arts Contest.

The Optimist Visual Arts Competition gives the youth we serve another outlet for their creativity!

The contest will be held at the Centerville Noon Optimist local level and International level.

The contest opens for submissions in February each year and closes at the end of March.

This year’s theme is: “Optimism”

Students may submit either or both a painting and a drawing, but only one of each category. If you wish to enter both a painting and a drawing, please submit this form once for each category.

At the Local Level

In Centerville/Washington Township, in each category:

  • 1st place will receive $50.00 and a certificate
  • 2nd place will receive $35.00 and a certificate
  • 3rd place will receive $20.00 and a certificate
  • All other students will receive a participation certificate.

Both 1st Place winners will be entered in the Optimist International level competition.

At the Optimist International Level

At the Optimist International level, in each category:

  • 1st place will receive a $250 scholarship
  • 2nd place will receive a $150 scholarship
  • 3rd place will receive a $100 scholarship.

The winning artwork will be displayed at the Optimist International Convention, and featured on the Optimist International website.


  • Entrants must live or attend school in Centerville or Washington Township
  • Entrants must be age 11 or lower as of October 1, 2021
  • Student can submit (1 piece) in each category
  • Images of art must be high resolution digital and uploaded using the form below.
  • Images of art must be submitted by March 28, 2022!

Parental Agreement

I agree to allow my child to participate in the Centerville Noon Optimist visual arts contest. I further agree that pictures of my child’s artwork may be used and copied by the Centerville Noon Optimist Club for use on their website and social media platforms.

I have read the contest rules and agree to have my child abide by them.

Parent or guardian must sign this form for entry to be accepted.
