“It’s not what we do – it’s why we do it”
The Centerville Noon Optimist Club holds three annual major fundraisers that generate the funds to give back to our kids in the local community in the form of scholarships, free kids events, donations to local schools and groups that support youth.
Our Avenue of Flags, Christmas Tree Lot and Annual Tee-Off for Youth Golf Outing programs each deliver the majority of the funds we raise and return to the local community. Each of the three major fundraisers would not be possible without the incredible support from our volunteer members, local businesses and the entire local community.
Avenue of Flags
We invite you to participate in a patriotic community service program called The Avenue of Flags. This Fundraiser helps us support our youth programs and youth scholarships in our community. We will place a 3′ by 5′ high quality American flag on a 10′ flag pole near the curb in front of your home or business on the following national holidays: Memorial Day Weekend, Flag Day (June 14th), Juneteenth, Independence Day (July 4th), Labor Day Weekend, Patriot Day (September 11th), and Veteran’s Day (November 11th).
Tom Frazier Tee Off for Youth Golf Classic
We look forward to bringing you this golf outing with the proceeds going to Dayton Children’s Hospital’s Hematology/Oncology Department and other youth programs throughout the year. More than $200,000 has been donated to Dayton Children’s in the last fifteen years.
Christmas Tree Lot
The Centerville Noon Optimist Club Christmas Tree Lot is located behind the Centerville BMV Office on Spring Valley Pike and Officer John P. Kalaman way and is a holiday tradition for many families.
