Volunteer – Avenue of Flags

American Flag

Volunteer on one of our two-person flag delivery teams!

We deliver flags shortly before each flag holiday and retrieve them after and need many volunteers for both. We especially need volunteers with flag vehicles (van, SUV, pickup) but can also use volunteers to accompany those with a flag vehicle. Most flag routes take about an hour to complete.

We deliver flags around 5-6 days prior to each holiday so please contact us early to volunteer. Once you complete the form, you will be added to our volunteer list and contacted before flag holidays for availability.

Our flag holidays are Memorial Day, Flag Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Patriot Day and Veterans Day.

Memorial Day, Mon, May 27:   

    Wed, May 22: Deliver Flags:  Sinclair open 9am-8pm

    Tue, May 28: Retrieve Flags:  Sinclair open 9:30am-8pm 

Flag Day, Fri, June 14 

(extended display includes Juneteenth & Independence Day)

   Tue, June 11: Deliver Flags:  Sinclair open 9am-7:30pm

Juneteenth, Wed, June 19

  (continue display of flags)

Independence Day, Thur, July 4

    Wed, June 26:  Deliver additional flags Sinclair open 8:30am-7:30pm

    Wed, July 10:   Retrieve Flags:     Sinclair open 9am-7:30pm

Labor Day, Mon, Sept 2

(combined display with Patriots Day)

   Wed, Aug 28: Deliver Flags: Sinclair open 9am-7:30pm

Patriots Day, Wed, Sept 11:

   Thurs, Sept 12: Retrieve Flags: Sinclair open 9am-7pm 

Veterans Day: Mon, Nov 11: 

(challenges of this holiday:-  loss of daylight by 6pm and dampness in the mornings)
