Optimists bring out the best in kids! The positive approach, upbeat attitude, and commitment to creating a more optimistic outlook for kids are what differentiate Optimist Clubs from other volunteer activities and service clubs. Communities in the United States and around the world have been touched by the positive force of Optimist Club members.
From sponsoring youth activities to conducting oratorical contests for young people, Optimist Clubs are responding to special needs in our local communities.
Although Optimists come from all walks of life, we share one common trait: We know that we can make a difference in the lives of others.
Today more than 3,000 Optimist Clubs and 100,000 Optimists throughout the world work hard to help children grow and prosper. Last year more than 65,000 community service projects were conducted to assist the needs of more than 6 million children.
