Community Read Book Clubs
Over the next few months, several community organizations are sponsoring a Community Read of The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt. The book examines rising levels of anxiety, depression, and other mental health struggles among young people, showing how screen time and reduced play have contributed to a global crisis.
The Community Read will bring together schools, churches, parents, and local organizations, culminating in a Mental Health Fair with community response on February 21, 2026 at Ephiphany Lutheran Church.
To join the Community Read, choose a book club to attend or read the book within your own book club and discuss the staggering statistics associated with increased screen time among our youth.
