Essay Contest Entry Deadline

Boys and girls under the age of 19 are invited to submit an essay on a pre-assigned topic during the months of October, November, December, and January each year. One winner will advance to finals at the district for a chance to win a $3,500 scholarship. The Essay Contest is sponsored by the Centerville Noon Optimist Club to give young people the opportunity to write about their own opinions regarding the world in which we live.
The Official 2025-2026 Optimist International Essay Contest Topic is:
“How My Acts of Service Help Me Understand What My Community Means to Me”
Prizes will be as follows: 1st place $500, 2nd place $250, 3rd place $100.
Entries are due no later than February 1, 2026.
