The Noon Optimist Club of Centerville with this year’s donation has now raised more than $150,000 for the Hematology/Oncology Department at Dayton Children’s Hospital. Proceeds from the 24th Annual Tom Frazier, Tee Off for Youth golf outing, held July 23, 2015 at Sugar Valley Golf Club in Bellbrook will further add to the support of Dayton Children’s.
Fred Polizzi, President of Centerville’s Noon Optimist Club stated “the support of our Five-Star Sponsors, 1-800-Got-Junk, You Move Me, Allstate Insurance, Remodeling Designs, McAfee Heating and Air, Monica Stomps – CPA, WesBanco Bank, Tanner Heating and Air Conditioning, Kroger – Centerville and all sponsors has been overwhelming. The Dayton Children’s Hospital will benefit from the generosity at our event. “
This is the thirteenth year that Dayton Children’s and Centerville Noon Optimists have teamed together to assist childhood cancer patients. A special feature of the “Tee Off for Youth” event has been the Children’s Event sponsored by The Fenstemaker Agency of Allstate Insurance. Children who were undergoing treatment or who are cancer survivors enjoy a morning of golf on a real golf course coached by the pro. A fun competition tested the children’s skills in chipping, putting and driving. This year’s event drew 24 children from the ages of 8 – 16 and awards were provided in various categories. Heater from the Dayton Dragons had a great time with the kids.
“We are fortunate to have the Centerville Noon Optimists as a friend to Dayton Children’s said Robbie Mirisciotti Lead Nurse of Children’s Hematology/Oncology Department. Their contribution truly impacts our efforts in making a difference in the lives of our patients.”
At 2015’s event,  more than 110 golfers enjoyed a beautiful day of golf followed by a great dinner and the presentation of awards, while raising  more than $30,000 for Dayton Children’s and Centerville Noon’s youth programs for 2016.
Please mark your calendars for 2016’s event which is Monday July 18, 2016.
