For the past decade, she has been speaking to youth, parents, and professionals, teaching the four principles of iWise Living: “Be Aware. Protect. Prepare. Respond.”
Cheryl’s passion is to educate and empower communities to make informed decisions about technology, ensuring a healthier future for the next generation.
Cheryl Mahoney, founder of iWise, LLC, recently shared her expertise on protecting children in the digital age during one of our evening meetings. She expanded on the core principles of iWise Living:
- Be Aware – Understanding and monitoring children’s online activities.
- Protect – Implementing safeguards like parental controls and device restrictions.
- Prepare – Equipping children with critical thinking skills and internet safety awareness.
- Respond – Addressing issues calmly and constructively when they arise.
Cheryl emphasized that proactive and informed parenting is key to fostering healthy digital habits and safeguarding children against online risks. Her actionable advice and practical resources resonated with attendees, underscoring the importance of creating a safer digital environment for the next generation.
