CNO 2.0 Venue and Details

The venue for tonight’s CNO 2.0 meeting was Bock Family Brewing, located at 8150 Washington Village Dr, Centerville, OH 45458. Thank you to the team at Bock’s for the space and beverages.

Tonight, we had a Halloween party. Many attendees showed up in costumes. Thank you to Connie Risch for the great photos that you can view here.

Ghost Stories by Debe Dockins

Debe Dockins told some Ghost stories set in the Centerville-Washington Township area.

Debe said we really do have ghosts in our town. The area was founded in the early 1800’s and lots of the early settlers never wanted to leave.

She told ghost stories connected with Town Hall Theatre, Benham’s Grove, Routsong Funeral Home, and lots more. Debe is a brilliant storyteller!

Debe finished off her segment of the meeting with the story “Appointment in Samarra as retold by W. Somerset Maugham (1933).”

If you are into these types of stories, you should join Debe for the Ghost Walk on Main, which is held annually in October. This annual event is a fundraiser to benefit the Friends of WC Public Library, Centerville-Washington History, and a charity of choice for the Heart of Centerville and Washington Township businesses. It is hosted in partnership with the City of Centerville, Washington Township Town Hall Theatre, and the Centerville-Washington Park District.
