Phather Phil’s Prayer
Heavenly Father, I’m sure you remember when we talked to you as a kid and we would pray ” Now I lay me down to sleep -” Now grown with no one prompting us to pray or not knowing what to say we go to sleep without a
word. Falling back on a simple memorized prayer can jump start our conversations with You. Many children have learned this prayer and continue it today.
In peace O Lord I close my eyes.
In peace again I hope to rise.
Be with those I love the best.
As I take my nightly rest.
Led me in Your holy way.
Make me better everyday. Amen!
It’s always good to have a nightly conversation with You Lord, even if it’s with a memorized prayer. Amen!
