Centerville Noon Optimists: Supporting Our Community and Looking Ahead

Greg Fay, chair of the CNO 2.0 committee, led this month’s meeting, which highlighted recent contributions, upcoming events, and opportunities to support our mission of helping kids.

Recent Grants Given by CNO

  • Centerville Education Foundation: A donation of $5,000 was made to support their efforts in advancing educational opportunities.
  • CHS Theatre Department: We reimbursed $1,500 for expenses related to the Haunted Trail.
  • Ronald McDonald House Charities: A donation of $5,000 was made to purchase bedspreads and waterproof pillow covers.

Each donation we make is carefully evaluated to ensure it aligns with our mission of helping children and supporting our community. Whether it’s funding programs, working on playgrounds, or volunteering at Dayton Children’s Hospital, our goal is to make a meaningful impact.

Upcoming Events and Volunteer Opportunities

  • CNO 2.0 at Zink’s Wine and Meat Market: Join us for a wine tasting on the third Thursday of February.
  • Egg Hunt: Scheduled for April, this beloved event offers plenty of opportunities to volunteer and make a difference for local kids. Check our website calendar for dates and details.
  • Golf Outing: Mark your calendars for this July fundraiser. Whether you join with a foursome or volunteer, it’s a fun way to support our mission.
  • Christmas Tree Lot: Planning ahead? Only 315 days remain until we set up the Christmas tree lot for 2025!

Making a Difference

From Avenue of Flags to our golf outing and other fundraisers, we strive to create opportunities to enrich the lives of children in our community. Your participation, whether through volunteering or attending events, helps make this possible.

Trivia Contests

To end the meeting Greg Fay ran a trivia contest about TV shows. He does a great job with trivia. Thank you, Greg Fay.

Several members stayed after the meeting to participate in the trivia contest that is held every Thursday at Loose Ends Brewing. They did pretty well!

Thank You

Thank you to the CNO 2.0 committee for organizing another great gathering and keeping us informed about the many ways we can contribute to our mission.
