Erin Dickerson’s Prayer
Lord,
1 Corinthians 13:4-8a says:
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
Today, on a day we celebrate love, help us:
- To love openly – listening without judgement or speaking in anger.
- To love generously – giving without expectation of anything in return.
- To love unconditionally – forgiving those who we feel wronged by or whose beliefs and values differ from our own.
- To love passionately – with all our mind, heart, and soul.
And most importantly, help us to love one another as you have loved us.
Amen.

Chuck Dickerson Memorial Scholarship
The Chuck Dickerson Memorial Scholarship was established in 2018 by the family of Chuck Dickerson. Chuck was an eternal optimist and entrepreneur who believed in service to his family and community. The scholarship is for children or grandchildren of current or past members of the Centerville Noon Optimist Club.
The next deadline for submission is 3/3/2023.
Scholarship Criteria
- Be a graduating high school senior

- God Only Knows, Beach Boys
- Bicycle Built for Two, Nat King Cole
- A Thousand Years, Christina Perri
