Recent Grants CNO Has Given to the Community
Greg Fay started by saying, “Welcome to tonight’s CNO 2.0 meeting! We’re so glad you’re here. For those visiting tonight, let me tell you a bit about this incredible organization.”
Greg Fay went over recent community grants, “Recently, the golf committee gave a generous $17,000 donation to Dayton Children’s Hospital. This organization never ceases to amaze me with its generosity.”
“Our club is donating $13,000 to Camp Kern for their renovation project. Several other Optimist clubs are joining us to get this project done. Lots of kids from the Centerville and greater Dayton have had great experiences at Camp Kern.”
“Additionally, the Centerville-Washington Township Historical Society requested our help with their outdoor Rural Education Center renovation project and we responded with a $10,000 donation. Another great contribution from our club!”
“We also had a request from the CHS Hope Squad for funds to assist with their peer-to-peer counseling program and we proudly donated $4,000 to support their efforts in helping students.”
Craft Beer Exchange
Tonight, attendees were asked to bring a six pack of their favorite craft beers. They were set up on a table and everyone was encouraged to take a variety of beers home to enjoy later.
