Heavenly Father you know we feel great being called an Optimist, but to be pointed out that we are the best , is a dream come true. We give thanks for all the talent You have gathered under the Centerville Noon Optimist name. To the participation of the members in all of our endeavors and the extra effort of the leadership. We are truly blessed. For a moment let us be proud and be a beacon to those who follow. Lord, may we always
remember that we are number one because we love what we do and may we continue continue to be Your hands and heart in all our endeavors. AMEN!Â

Today’s Speaker
Jean Pummill, Club Secretary-elect, spoke to us about the Optimist International Convention recently held in Albuquerque. She learned that Optimist International partners with Johns Hopkins and that together they are making some amazing advances in the treatment of childhood cancer. Jean also stated that taking over the Secretary position from Joe Madden will be big shoes to fill. Chris McAlpine, Club President-elect spoke also about the Optimist Convention, he learned that CNO is an amazing club with all that we do, and about some grants that are available from the Optimist Foundation.
