March Madness and Optimist International President Bob McFadyen

CNO 2.0 Venue and Details

The venue for tonight’s CNO 2.0 meeting was Loose Ends Brewing, 890 S Main St, Centerville, OH. Thank you to the team at Loose Ends Brewing for the great beer, food and space. The Vice-President of the establishment, Kent Loose, was inducted into CNO 2.0 this evening.

There were 32 people at the meeting (9 guests, 23 members).

Tonight’s meeting was during March Madness. We played March Madness Bingo as a 50/50. Half the money went to the winner and the other half will be donated to the Optimist International Foundation.

Bob McFadyen, President of Optimist International

Jesse Gaither introduced tonight’s special guest, Bob McFadyen. Bob is the Optimist International President for 2022-2023. He and his wife Penny joined us tonight and he spoke briefly.

Bob said our club has so much fun and is the largest in the world. He hopes other clubs might look at how we do things and also be able to increase their memberships.

Bob said that children need Optimist clubs more than ever. COVID has really put stress on already difficult schooling for many of the world’s young people.

He said to keep up the good work and he was glad he could attend one of our CNO 2.0 events.
