Destination Imagination Fosters Problem Solving, Teamwork, and Creativity in Centerville Students
Michelle Oxrider, a District Coordinator for Destination Imagination, showed the Centerville Noon Optimist Club how the 100 percent student-led STEAM program builds creative problem solving, teamwork, and lasting life skills, including a “Special Stars” team for students with higher needs that the program has run for more than a decade. Two students from a Centerville team that placed first at the 2025 Global Finals shared what the program has meant to them.
